Airline-dle's core carrier list - names, countries, active/defunct status, IATA/ICAO codes, and the radio callsigns that power the progressive text clue - comes from OpenFlights, released under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Data retrieved 2026-07-12.
The ODbL is a share-alike licence: this database, and any adapted database built from it, is offered under the same ODbL terms, with attribution to OpenFlights and its contributors. See openflights.org/data and the ODbL 1.0 licence text.
Each carrier's region, founding decade and alliance are enriched from Wikidata, released into the public domain under CC0 1.0.
Each answer's teach card is a short verbatim excerpt from the airline's English Wikipedia article summary, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0; those articles remain the copyright of their authors. The excerpt is shown only after a puzzle is finished, with a From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0) link back to the source article. Reuse of a teach excerpt must keep that attribution and the same licence.
